Holly Rhame is an artist living and working in New York.
My practice centers on works on paper that I’ve termed ‘biograms’ denoting a diagram or map of the environmental, psychological, biological, and social topographies that shape a being. The term describes a living map of subjectivity. As such my works function as a visual analogy to the “talking cure,” with a symbolic couple as a central motif. They represent the edge of what is possible. Each work charts the ever-shifting terrain of becoming, and explores the complex dynamics of relational existence.
